Fisch Nessie Guide
Nessie is one of the fish introduced in the Halloween update, meaning it is only available for the duration of the event. It takes inspiration from the Loch Ness Monster and has a large green body with a long neck and tail. Once the event ends, you won’t be able to catch one, so make sure you’re quick!
How To Catch Nessie
You can find Nessie lurking in the depths of a Frightful Pool, and it only appears at night in foggy weather. If you’re in a rush to catch one and it is daytime, you can use the Sundial Totem to change it, which you can find in the cave on Sunstone Isle. To get foggy weather, use the Smokescreen Totem.
As for bait, Nessie loves Truffle Worm! You can get this inside of bait crates, when completing quests, or inside of Volcanic Geodes. Using this will also give you an additional 300 preferred luck and -10 lure speed.
Nessie weighs a hefty 2,000kg, so you’ll need a sturdy rod to reel one in! Some rods can only hold a certain weight, and others give you boosts. Check out our Fisch Rods Guide that goes through each.
Frightful Pool
Wondering what the Frightful Pool is? Let me talk you through it. You may have noticed that when you are playing, you will get a notification in your server saying “A Frightful Pool has opened”. This means that there’s a pool somewhere in the ocean filled with the Halloween Event fish!
Simply follow the ‘Frightful Pool’ marker on your screen to find the location. Pull your boat up inside the area and start fishing. Nessie is one of the hardest fish to catch, so be prepared to spend some time fishing for it.
