RB Battles The Hunt Guide

Now this can get a little complicated, so we’ve divided this into three sections. Starting the missions, the rap battle, and the rat battle.

Starting The Mission

First, you need to get thrown through an interdimensional rift. It’s easier than it sounds.

  • Speak to the Researcher and agree to help him.
  • If you haven’t already, hit the pink play button on the right of the screen to set yourself as ready to play.
  • Win one round of RB Battles, or take part in three rounds if luck isn’t on your side today.
  • Return to the Researcher NPC and speak to him again to get the shard.
  • Equip the shard from your hotbar and use it to begin your journey.
  • You’ll flip through a few locations and wind up in a classroom with Mr Boringsworth.
  • Unfortunately, cyborg rats start piling in. You have a choice. Rat Battle, or Rap Battle?

We’ve detailed the games from both possible choices below!

Rat Battle

In Rat Battle, you’ll need to fight of three waves of robo-rats and survive with at least one left intact. Below are a few tips to help you out.

  • The red levers trigger traps around the arena. These will turn on for a short period, turn off, then have a cooldown before you can switch them on again. The flame turrets in the ails with the walkways on the sides are especially effective.
  • Hitting the rats charges the gold bar above your health, this gives you a boosted weapon for a short period once full.
  • Rats will drop health recovery items from time to time, make the most of these!
  • Mr Boringsworth won’t be harmed by the rats, so don’t worry about protecting him. You only need to worry about yourself.

Rap Battle

While Rat Battle is armed combat, Rap Battle is more about your rhythm game skills as Mr Boringsworth decides to subdue the rats with his bars alone. You’ll accompany him.

  • There are two difficulties, Baby Mode, which is easy, and Beast Mode, which is a bigger challenge. You still get the badge on Baby Mode.
  • Hit the arrow buttons/bindings in time with the beat when it’s your turn. The indicator on the left will let you know how you’re doing overall. Too many wrong notes and you’ll need to start again.

Which One Should I Do?

If you want to get the badge easily Rat Battle is probably the better choice. I made it through without getting through even one of the three lives. It’s a little more time consuming though. If you’re a rhythm game champ, Rap Battle might suit you better!
