Summer Fruits To Use If You Don’t Have The Candy Blossom in Grow a Garden

Before I list my choices, it’s worth noting that an average, unmutated Candy Blossom plant sells for around 90,250 Sheckles. So, I’ll be looking at Summer Crops with similar value, or potential value.

Potential value refers to lower-valued crops that produce tons of fruits on one plant, equating to high value when sold in bulk (after adopting mutations over time).

Sugar Apple

Starting with the lowest valued crop of the list, the Sugar Apple is the only Prismatic seed found in the new seed shop run by the Tom NPC. Growing into a tree with several fruiting bodies, the Sugar Apple quickly pays itself off and then some if left to naturally mutate over time.

This seed is around half the value of the Candy Blossom if comparing 1:1, but the Sugar Apple has potential value thanks to producing tons of Apples on one tree.

  • Seed Cost/Obtainment: Tom’s Shop for 25,000,000 Sheckles
  • Average Sale: 43,400 Sheckles
  • Multi-harvest: Yes

Rosy Delight

The Rosy Delight is a multi-harvest crop from the Summer Seed Pack, with a 4.5% obtainment chance. An individual flower typically sells for 63,000 Sheckles, placing it just below the Candy Blossom.

What’s more, despite being a flower, which typically only produces one harvestable crop at a time, the Rosy Delight creates several flowering bodies each growth cycle. That makes this plant a great contender to replace and dethrone the Candy Blossom if you’re looking for profits.

Elephant Ears

The rarest from the Summer Seed Pack, with a slim 0.5% pull rate, the Elephant Ears have an average value of 70,000+ Sheckles. Despite being much higher in rarity than the Candy Blossom, it’s quite disappointing that this plant isn’t valued higher. However, that doesn’t overshadow its potential to be a new Candy Blossom for those who didn’t get one during the Easter Event.

The Elephant Ears plant produces around 6-9 leaves, depending on plant size, and is multi-harvestable.

Parasol Flower

Saving the best until last! The Parasol Flower has a 10% obtainment chance from the Summer Seed Pack, so compared to the Rosy Delight and Elephant Ears, it’s not the rarest. So, why is it one of the best? Well, this plant has a base value of 165,300 Sheckles with no mutations.

Whilst this base value is significantly higher than the Candy Blossom, I recommend leaving the Parasol to adopt mutations, and plenty of them, since it isn’t multi-harvest and will stop developing once picked.
