How To Catch Citrin In Tales Of Tanorio

So, how do you get started on the citrusy line.

Wild Citrins

You can find wild Citrins in Pontero Pasture, an area in between Arksworth and Nikido City, so you don’t have to advance too far into the game to find one. Cirtins are grass types, and are weak to following move types. Keep this in mind, as being too heavy-handed might cause the Tanorian to faint before you can capture one!

  • Fire
  • Air
  • Bug
  • Ice
  • Poison

When you run into one, work its HP down gradually and predictably, before throwing a tanocan to catch it!

Citress Or Zestric?

The Citrin line is slightly unusual for having two different final evolution forms with different types. Citrin will evolve into Citrene at Level 18, and then one of two forms at Level 37.

  • Citress – A Grass/Fairy Tanorian
  • Zestric – A Grass/Fighting Tanorian

What determines which it becomes? Gender. Female Citrins become Citress, male Citrins become Zestric. There’s an easy way to tell as a glance when you spot on in the wild, though. Color!

  • Yellow – The Citrin will evolve into a Citress.
  • Green – The Citrin will evolve into a Zestric.
  • A Black Mask – The Citrin is a Shiny! Catch it quick!

Now you know what you’re aiming for, you just need to catch one. Good luck out there!
