The Forge Weapons Tier List
Jump to Frequently Asked Questions
S-TIER
The strongest weapons in The Forge, at least in my opinion. Those here balance speed, strength, and range to make a perfect weapon choice for most players.
- Uchigatana
- Katanas are balanced, and the Uchigatana is no exception. With exceptional damage, speed, and range, this blade does it all.
- Tachi
- The Tachi is a powerful Katana, with ideal damage, speed, and range for combat.
- Scythe
- An excellent weapon with exceptional range, attack damage, and moderate speed for its size.
A-TIER
Great alternatives to the top tier if you don’t agree with my best picks. Those here have some drawbacks, but are overall powerful and formidable forges.
- Double Battle Axe
- Despite appearances, this heavy weapon is quite slow to attack. It’s in the same category as the Scythe, so it drops a tier solely because its kin pulls ahead in speed. The Double Battle Axe has excellent range and damage.
- Crusader Sword
- This Great Sword variant is a little slower than a Katana, but has more damage and range, making it a formidable choice.
- Long Sword
- This Great Sword variant is similar to its peer, having more damage and range, with lower speed.
B-TIER
Nestled into the average tier, these weapons are either tricky to wield or not late-game enough to justify a higher placement.
- Rapier
- A longer Straight Sword, making it great for ranged attacks, keeping enemies out of striking distance. This sword has decent attack damage and speed.
- Chaos
- A strange Straight Sword with jagged edges. Great on damage, moderate on speed and range.
- Relevator
- The greater Gauntlet. Only works at close range, but has great damage; however, it lacks speed.
- Dragon Slayer
- This Colossal Sword is B-Tier despite its ore investment because not all players are capable of wielding it. They’re far slower than other weapons, but have insanely high damage and range.
- Skull Crusher
- Another Colossal Sword category weapon. Similar to the Dragon Slayer, this weapon has exceptional attack and range, but lesser speed.
C-TIER
Whilst not in the bottom tier, these weapons require a skilled fighter to wield correctly. There’s a blend of expensive and early game weapons here for different reasons, be it speed, attack, or range.
- Cutlass
- A pirate’s blade. Ideal for the natural game progression. It’s got decent speed and range, but lesser damage.
- Falchion
- Similar to the Cutlass, this weapon has decent speed and range, but lesser damage.
- Hook
- A weak weapon with low range. It gets brownie points for shape visuals.
- Hammer
- This Colossal Sword variant is fun to use, but slow on the comedown and not as powerful as other versions of this weapon.
- Great Sword
- This Colossal Sword variant is one of the weaker types, having tanked speed in exchange for its range and damage. It simply doesn’t perform as well as the higher tiers.
D-TIER
These Weapons have a lesser range and damage, making them unsuitable for long-term combat expeditions.
- Ironhand
- A weak gauntlet variant. Works only in close range, but packs a punch.
- Gladius Dagger
- Not too dissimilar from the Dagger. Lacks range, speed, and high attack.
- Dagger
- Very basic weapon. Low range, low attack, and average speed. This is most players’ first weapon type.
Frequently Asked Questions
No, as this would make the ranks overcomplicated. After all, a simple Dagger made of Eye Ore would be better than a Stone Katana.
The quantity of Ore will give you a general idea of what Weapons you’re able to make. The more Ores, the heavier the weapon, making it slower to wield but more powerful on hit. Some Ore have Traits, applying DMG buffs or status effects to tools and enhancing them further. I recommend saving these for later game Weaponry. Multiplier is also important, as this largely influences the final result.
Nope! This tier is entirely subjective to taste, as each player will have a different combat style and benefit differently from unique weapon builds. Personally, I struggle with the slower and heavier blades, hence their lesser appearance in the top tier.
