The Hotel elevator is broken.. looks like you’re headed down… not quite to the Mines, but you’re not exactly in The Hotel anymore. Welcome to the bottom floor. Thankfully, we have a The Foundation entities guide to detail all the things that lurk down there.
You can play The Foundation now on Roblox. If you’d like to read some more Doors content, maybe take a look at our the Doors update guide.
The Foundation Entities Guide
We’ve broken down the details into two sections. One for monsters from the original Doors, the other for Foundation monsters.
Original Doors Entities
These are arrivals from the original hotel in Doors.
Rush
This guy works about the same as he does in the original game. The lights with flicker and the foundation will shake, then this scary face will hurtle along the hallway at some speed. Any players not hidden in a wardrobe, locker, or side room will instantly expire.
Ambush
This also behaves a lot like it does in Doors. Ambush runs down the hallway, a lot like Rush, but then it will come back shortly after, and ‘bounce’ a few times before despawning.
Screech
Much like his Doors counterpart, this creature lurks behind players in dark rooms. You’ll hear a ‘Psst!’ behind you to indicate his presence. Turn to look at him and he’ll scream and disappear. If you don’t find him… he’ll bite you and do damage. Ow!
Seek
This weird, hostile goop entity hasn’t changed its approach very much since the original, and will chase you through the hallways if you run into it.
Figure
This guy is back and is going to make it everyone’s problem. He can’t see, so try to avoid making noise in his presence, and you might be able to get away in one piece.
New Entities For The Foundation
These are new for the fan game.
Stare
Stare is a new entity, and it pretty much the opposite of Eyes from Doors. Instead of looking away from it, you must keep eye contact with Stare throughout the room it’s in, this means backing out through the door.
Ram
Something like a reverse Rush, Ram will knock on the unopened door in front of you as a warning, before bursting in and er, ramming anyone in its path. The entity will push any players it runs into backwards, into rooms they’ve visited before. It also harms the player, though not as much as Rush does. If you hear knocks on a door, get out of the way.
Decoy
Decoy likes to hide out in lockers in order to drag unsuspecting players inside and deal damage. Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to spot, just look for a bunch of dark ooze and eyes peering at you through the gaps. The locker might shake as well.
Hordebats
These things aren’t all that dangerous… on their own. When you rile them up, though, these bats start screaming, and this summons a horde of the other entities. Upset these guys and you’ll be in for a rough ride.
Blacklight
This insidious entity lurks in dark rooms. Hang around too long in areas with no light source, and this thing will entangle you and begin to drain your health. It doesn’t like light, so make use of that.
Overseer
This is a one-time Foundation entity, and you’ll know it when you see it. This thing takes the shape of massive, damaging eyes set into the environment. You must avoid its gaze as you advance through the rooms.
The Watcher
A reverse Figure, the Watcher can most definitely see you. It can’t hear too well, though. This monster only appears in The Prison onwards. In The Prison, it will lock you up if it catches you. You’ll need to complete the escape game to get out.
