How To Summon Ghoulossus
To Summon Ghoulossus you need an item called a Ghastly Core. This is a rare drop from ghost enemies. Or you can purchase it at the Halloween Shop. Either way, you’ll be dealing with a lot of ghosts beforehand. Once you have a Ghastly Core, you need to head to a specific location in Karakura Town. It’s in the feature image above, but we’ll detail how to get there in case you’ll not sure.
- Start at the Myrnite NPC. (If you’re not sure where that is, hit “,” and head there.)
- Walk onto the path and turn right, up the steps under the torii gate.
- At the top of the stairs, take a sharp right past the big pumpkin. You should run into a big arena arean, the a floor of black stone. Lots of glowing butterflies fill the air.
- This is where you need to pop the Ghastly Core to summon Ghoulossus.
How To Deal With Ghoulossus
When you use the Ghastly Core, a huge ghostly figure will appear. That’s your guy. Now you’ve got to deal with him.
This boss is no joke, and it’s a good idea not to handle him alone.
Ghoulossus has two phases, though both have a key mechanic. He will split apart into numerous floating spheres that fire lasers in all directions. In this form, you can only do damage by finding the floating crystal that makes up the core of his body and attacking that.
In his second phase, when he has his sword drawn, you can only damage him by hitting the crystal. It’s important that the players present know this because not only does he not take damage, he also heals when he KO’s a player. So try and bring along some friends who know what they’re doing rather than relying on randoms who might not.
Ghoulossus Rewards
Ghoulossus drops Ectoplasm (Yeah, I know, big deal.) and has a very small chance of dropping one of two exclusive accessories, the Soulfire Halo or the Spectral Crown. These give bonuses to Defence, Health, Posture, and Reiatsu, but they have pretty pitiful drop rates for a really drawn-out boss. Don’t hold your breath, basically.
