Type Soul Voltstandig Guide
Voltstandig is exclusive to the Quincy Faction, so if you selected a different race at the start of your journey, this guide may not be all that helpful. If you’re a Quincy looking for an upgrade, settle in!
Voltstandig is a successor to a Quincy, granting the player more power and stronger abilities through resurrection. This evolution is on par with Bankai for Soul Reapers, making it a highly sought-after resurrection.
How To Achieve Voltstandig
As mentioned, obtaining Volstandig is now, thankfully, much easier than before the massive update that overhauled Type Soul. Becoming a Voltstandig requires surviving two stages of various quests without dying. Dying whilst in progress, regardless of what stage you’re at, will reset your Voltstandig progression.
For this reason, I’d recommend asking some friends to back you up during each stage since the requirements are combat-heavy.
First Stage:
You have the choice of completing numerous Raids to accumulate Rain Win points after reaching Elite Grade:
- Win 13 Raids (Karakura Town Raids do not contribute)
- Ranked 1V1 count for 0.5 Raid Wins
- Ranked 2V2 count for 0.8 Raid Wins
- Successful Clan Wars count for 2 Raid Wins
Your current progression can be checked with the V NPC located in KT.
Second Stage
During the second stage, you have to complete ALL the following tasks without dying. Death results in having to redo the progression.
- 50 Hollow NPC Kills (Mission Hollow Kills also count)
- 10 Elite Grade player Grips (Only for players in a different Faction)
- 1 World Boss Kill
Third Stage
Finally, head back to Wandenreich and reach the top of the castle to speak with the Balance NPC. Balance triggers the Voltstandig trials, which include parrying beams of light that fall from the sky for 1 minute and 30 seconds. When the parrying minigame concludes, Yhwach will spawn in, and you simply need to interact with him to obtain your Voltstandig.
If you fail the parrying minigame, it’ll be put on an hour cooldown, and you can try again later! Or, to reset the timer quickly, grip one Elite Grade player of another faction.
