About The Golden Rod
The Golden Fishing Rod starts with the following stats:
- Luck – 7.50
- Efficiency – 7.50
This puts it on par with the Nebular Rod, which will cost you a cool $1,250,000 from the Shop. So it’s well worth getting. Even better The Golden Fishing Rod is one you can get without even a dollar to your name, if you’re lucky and a bit dedicated.
How To Get The Golden Rod
The process is simple, as long as you know how to not mess it up.
While you’re fishing you might pull up a strange gold item that you can sell for a large amount of money, like $10,000. Don’t be tempted to just let it go, though! This is not just some shiny junk. It’s a piece of the legendary Gold Fishing Rod.
You need to hook all five parts and put them together to make the rod. Luckier rods give you a better shot at netting the pieces, but you can absolutely find one with the Starter Rod, we did when we tried it out.
Once you get into the highest-tier rods, you might leave the gold one behind, but it could be a massive boost in the early game. Plus you get to complete your collection.
