Alphadia III is officially out today on Android for global players. It marks the third chapter in the Alphadia series. Published by KEMCO and developed by EXE CREATE, it launched in Japan in October last year.
What’s the Story in Alphadia III?
Set in Alphadian Year 970, the game drops you into the final stages of the Energi War. It’s a massive conflict over a mysterious life force called energi.
The world is divided among three big powers who are fighting over the Schwarzschild Empire up north, the Nordsheim Kingdom out west, and the Luminea Alliance to the east.
When everything is about to fall apart, a clone soldier named Alfonso comes into the picture. What kicks things off is a visit from a girl named Tarte, who delivers the news about a fellow clone’s death. That moment flips a switch in him.
What’s the Gameplay Like?
Alphadia III sticks to turn-based combat from a side-view setup in classic pixel art style. There’s a set of systems, like SP Skills that charge up during fights and can flip the momentum when timed right.
Then there are Arrays, which are battle formations or strategies that unlock as you go. They give you more ways to approach fights depending on what you’re up against.
A newer addition is the Energi Crock. You toss extra items into it as you travel, and over time, it churns out Energi Elements. You can trade these for gear or goodies at exchange shops.
You’ll run into groups like Deval, a peacekeeping alliance, and elite military units like Rosenkreutz from Nordsheim. There are also different energi clone models—Nordsheim has the Berger Series, and Schwarzschild is running the Delta Series.
Beyond the main story, Alphadia III also has plenty of side content. It’s controller optimised as well. Grab the game from the Google Play Store for $7.99. There’s also a freemium version on Android that comes with ads.
