Rovio Entertainment has announced Angry Birds 2 Space. It’s a limited-time in-game community event that reintroduces the popular Space biome to the game. But this time, there are new mechanics and a refreshed cosmic setting.
When does Angry Birds 2 Space kick off?
The event will run from October 24th through November 21st on Android. The return of the Space biome has been developed due to years of fan requests.
You’ll now launch yourself into a galactic adventure built around community participation. Everyone works together to collect feathers as a global flock. The total progress will be displayed live on the official Angry Birds 2 Space website through a real-time progress bar that updates as the community plays.
As players hit certain feather milestones, the rewards will start rolling in. These include in-game currency, cosmetic items, and extra feathers. Everything builds toward a final milestone, where Red, the franchise’s iconic bird, will quite literally be launched into space.
Angry Birds 2 Space also introduces a handful of new gameplay mechanics. There’s the new planet-based gravity system. It allows you to slingshot birds around orbiting planets and crash into pig structures from unexpected angles.

Weekly themed events are also there
In the weekly events, you’ll face levels filled with Gravity Defying Elements. The event expands beyond a single planet, as you’ll travel across multiple worlds.
There are standard ones with normal gravity, Reverse Planets that repel birds away and even massive Mega Planets. The celestial arenas include Gravity Zones and Gravitational Wind, both of which affect the birds’ flight paths.
So, get the game from the Google Play Store and have a blast from the past. Well, kind of!
