Over the past couple of weeks Blizzard has been teasing a big announcement regarding their Hearthstone game which would be happening on July 22nd, 2015. That happens to be today. While there is a ton of guesses as to what this could be, all of the previous expansions, updates, new features, and new content to arrive for this game have never had a live event to go with it. This marks the first time that there has been a live event for an announcement for Hearthstone.
Whatever Blizzard is planning to announce for Hearthstone must be big. We can’t see it being a simple expansion because Gnomes vs Goblins didn’t have a live event. None of the single-player adventure updates haven’t had a live event either. Even the addition of the new Tavern Brawl feature didn’t have a live event. So whatever this is, it must be big. A new class and a new expansion? A new official ranked tournament mode, something that a lot of players have been asking for?
The only thing we do know is that it has to do with the Argent Dawn, mainly because the original teaser came in the form of a scroll with a musical box that, when opened, played the Argent Tournament theme song. So it would make sense that it has something to do with that, because of if doesn’t, than that’s just completely random of Blizzard to do. Blizzard doesn’t do random too well. There was an apparent leak over on a Taiwanese site saying the announcement is the official Tournament mode, themed around the Argent Tournament, with a new Argent Tournament game board. Here is what the leak stated:

The only thing that doesn’t make sense in the leaked info is the removal of casual mode. Then again if it isn’t used by hardly anyone, it would make sense to remove it. Testing new deck builds is a lot easier in casual mode though.
Whatever the case may be, Blizzard is hosting a live event this afternoon in San Francisco for the public to enjoy, if you got tickets of course.
