Ninja Kiwi’s Bloons TD 6 has dropped its latest version, Update 52.0, which arrives with the DLC Frontier Legends. It’s a huge update, perfect to close out the year. The update also comes with new cosmetics, an entirely new Paragon, and balance changes.

Frontier Legends is on a larger scale than Rogue Legends for Bloons TD 6

Ninja Kiwi describes the DLC as an Odyssey Quest stretched across 50+ maps, but with a huge 3D world. It has minigames, persistent currency, RPG-style Monkeys with prefix traits, and a semi-open world. The latest update also brings the Ice Monkey Paragon and a fresh Expert map called Tricky Tracks.

In Bloons TD 6 Frontier Legends, you step as the sheriff of Sandytown. You start with a character you can build from Hats, Torso Equipment, Weapons, and Consumables, and whatever pet companion you prefer.

The Saloon becomes the hub for recruiting hired monkeys with randomised traits and unique names. And on rare occasions, a Legendary Recruit may stroll in.

Frontier Legends also expands the Bloon roster with six new specialised types that appear alongside new round sets. Dynamite Bloons rely on blast radius punishment, Glass Bloons shrug off projectiles that bounce, while Diamond Bloons resist high damage attacks.

Aura Bloons empower nearby waves through intense farming output, and Retribution Bloons reflect a bit of pain back at attackers. Lastly, Ringleader Bloons shield those travelling with them.

All of this builds toward a confrontation with Diamondback, a multi-segment boss exclusive to the DLC at launch. Inspired by Bloons Super Monkey 2, Diamondback relies on mechanics tied to Pierce, intentional debuffs triggered by player attacks, and skull-breaking timing.

Apart from Frontier Legends, here’s what Update 52.0 brings

Herald of Everfrost, the Ice Monkey Paragon. Its Ice Lance Beam freezes anything it touches for 10 seconds. It alternates with Snowstorm Roar, and its ultimate trick is the Eclipse of Fimbulwinter. It’s a limited-use ability that freezes absolutely everything, including Boss Bloons.

If you’re into tower defense titles, definitely check out this update in Bloons TD 6. Grab the game from the Google Play Store.
