Japanese game publisher A Plus has opened pre-registration for Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. The global release for the anime-inspired MMORPG is planned for October 2025. Developed by Shanghai Bokura Network Technology, the game is also kicking off its Closed Beta Test for PC today.

The countdown to launch begins!

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance draws heavily from the original Blue Protocol. In case you don’t know about it, the original launched in Japan in 2023.

Unfortunately, it shut down a year later due to its inability to maintain a large enough player base. The servers went offline in January 2024, and the planned release outside of Japan was cancelled.

Nonetheless, it’s like a rebirth for Blue Protocol with the new version titled Star Resonance. And this time, A Plus is making sure that things work out well right from the beginning.

Set in the world of Magna, the game is full of mines to dig for rare crystals, herbs and mushrooms. You also have unexpected monster stampedes to survive. You can tank with shields, heal with radiant spells, and dish out damage with skill-based moves.

The game lets you swap styles depending on the situation. The customisation system lets you design unique outfits to stand out in crowded towns.

There’s plenty of downtime fun, too. Fishing by rivers, dancing at festivals, and setting off fireworks, all are part of the game. Multiplayer raids will be a major focus, too, with bosses.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance pre-registration is now live

Star Resonance has been optimised for mobile with a custom interface designed for touchscreen play. Both mobile and PC players will be able to play on the same servers. Take a look at the Blue Protocol: Star Resonance pre-registration trailer below.

With vibrant art and fluid combat, the game looks quite promising. Pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store.
