Bricks Breaker RPG has officially arrived on Android, with a familiar arcade formula of smashing bricks. Developed by Whimbear Studios, the game mixes classic brick-breaking mechanics with full-on RPG systems.

A brick breaker?

Like other games in the genre, you’ll be lining up shots, bouncing orbs across the screen, and watching blocks crumble. But in Bricks Breaker RPG, every broken brick feeds into progression. You’ll be clearing stages and levelling up a hero, unlocking abilities, and equipping gear.

Loot includes items that drop in a wide range of tiers, from standard and magical to rare, epic, legendary, and even ancient. Each one can alter your stats and add game-changing effects, and hence, no two runs feel the same.

The game has a retro-styled pixel art. Catch a glimpse of the game in this trailer below to see what’s in store.

The game’s boss battles are quite fun, too. Instead of simply spamming shots, you’ll need to think about timing, positioning, and the specific skills you’ve unlocked.

Bricks Breaker RPG brings in side activities you wouldn’t expect from a brick breaker!

The side activities are varied, such as mining for ores, gathering gems, crafting upgrades, and fishing. In fact, fishing is a chance to reel in rare loot, unlock new areas, and upgrade your rod while taking a break from the intense combat.

The game has hundreds of levels, which make up the main progression path. Additionally, there are daily quests which bring tons of rewards. Then, there’s an Endless Mode that ups the stakes with roguelike twists, survival challenges, and leaderboards.

There are no forced ads, and everything can be played offline. It’s free to download, so grab the game from the Google Play Store (or the App Store, which it just got released on).
