Carmen Sandiego is solving crimes, but that doesn’t mean that she’s missing out on celebrations. Gameloft’s modern take on the globe-trotting sleuth has launched a new limited-time event to celebrate PRIDE month with Carmen Sandiego.
The PRIDE event is titled FestiVILE: Carnival Crisis, and it’s now live in Carmen Sandiego. It will run through July 6th, letting you dive into a colourful new mission set in the heart of New Orleans.
What’s Going on During the PRIDE Event in Carmen Sandiego?
This time, VILE has struck the city’s biggest PRIDE parade, stealing its prized floral float decorations before the festivities can even begin. So, Carmen steps in, racing against the clock to outsmart VILE and save the celebration.
If you join the event and complete the mission, you can grab a unique Pride-themed outfit. Once the event ends, the outfit goes back into the vault until next year. Take a look at the new outfits below.
Meanwhile, the core narrative of the game continues with Chapter 4 Part 1 – The Fallen Idol. In this story, VILE’s latest scheme targets the Great Sphinx of Giza, putting one of the world’s most iconic landmarks at risk.
You’ll need to chase clues across Toronto’s Casa Loma and Kensington Market. Then travel to the bustling Johari Bazaar in Jaipur, working closely with ACME to stop the operation before the Sphinx is lost.
There’s also a little bonus for everyone!
As a token of appreciation from the Wishlist Community Challenge, every player will receive the Beachwear outfit.
FestiVILE: Carnival Crisis also comes with a few quality-of-life tweaks. There’s a new Auto Collect feature for gathering facts. And helpful pop-up reminders to keep players on track during the event. You’ll also want to watch for the Secrets to Discover icon in The ACME Files. If a location feels a bit more festive than usual, you’re probably heading in the right direction.
