Every now and then we hear about a game coming out for mobile devices that we truly can get excited about. It feels like it could be a game changer. We see the graphics, get a brief synopsis of the storyline and we immediately get hooked in anticipation. Such is the case with Vivid Games new project Godfire: Rise of Prometheus.
[UPDATE #3] December 5th: 3:34 AM PST – There has been a fair amount of discussion about the game not being compatible with a lot of newer devices. The folks over at Vivid Games were kind enough to post a message to our site about an hour ago. There is good news, more devices will be added. Here’s what they said. “Hey guys! We’re excited to see you excited about Godfire: Rise of Prometheus. Just wanted to let you know that we will be adding support for more devices in the coming days, so just hang tight!” – Vivid Games There you have it, more devices will be added shortly. [UPDATE #2] December 4th: 6:42 AM PST – The wait is finally over! Godfire: Rise of Prometheus is available to download in the Play Store… wait for it…. wait for it…. for FREE! In an interesting move to be certain, this amazing title is a free-to-play game. We will download it and let you know how the IAP’s affect the game play. Hopefully the game will live up to the hype. On another note, there is Exclusive Android Content with this release that includes: Brand new dynamic Lava Pit survival arena, Time Attack Mode, Exciting Quests feature, enhanced graphics and much more – available exclusively for Android. [UPDATE]: December 1st: 12:32 PM PST– A few days ago (November 28th), and posted today on the homepage for Godfire: Rise of Prometheus, is the following message. ” Vivid Games and Platige Image are pleased to announce that the next-gen action-adventure title Godfire: Rise of Prometheus will be coming to Android via Google Play this week, December 4th.” The first week of December has started off with great action titles coming to the Play Store. Some time Thursday, you will be able to play this dynamic action game. When it hits the Play Store we will let you know. In the meantime, you may want to clear up some of that storage space in preparation for this game.
One look at the game play and screenshots from Godfire: Rise of Prometheus shouldn’t really surprise us but it does. Vivid Games the creators of the immensely successful game “Real Boxing” and Oscar nominated animation studio Platige Image, have developed a game with amazing graphics and fierce weapon-based combat. Fans of games like “God of War” should pay close attention to this game.

Godfire: Rise of Prometheus will definitely be heralded as a next generation video game for mobile devices upon release. The game will be a paid title. We shouldn’t have too long to wait to play this stunning game. At this time we don’t know if it will be a dual release for Android and IOS, but new details are expected from Vivid Games soon.
