For some reason, EA has taken its library of Tetris games offline on Google Play. That includes Tetris 2011 and Tetris Blitz.
Over on the App Store, EA’s Tetris Blitz, Tetris Premium, and Tetris 2011 are being shut down on April 21, though there is no reason why.

There’s lots of uncertainty surrounding the reason. Why has Tetris simply vanished on Google Play, while iOS users get a heads up?
Also, what’s the reason they’ve been taken down in the first place? Has EA lost the Tetris licence? Or is this a sign a big new version of Tetris is on the way?
Well, either way I guess we’ll find out around April 21. In the meantime, check out Tetris Royale on Google Play, one of the few Tetris games left.
