Farlight 84 is about to go through a major transformation on August 7th, with a global relaunch. Originally launched in 2023, it’s getting a full-scale rework in its next update, which will be its biggest update ever.

Farlight Games has backed the Farlight 84 relaunch with over six years of development and more than $140 million in funding. Keep reading to find out what changes and additions are coming to the game.

Farlight 84 Relaunch is giving the game a huge makeover!

The update adds a first-person mode to the game. Up until now, players had to work with a third-person view. The new view is supported by upgraded graphics and smoother controls.

And then there’s the Buddy System, Farlight 84’s oddball feature that mixes creature collection with gunfights. It’s been completely reworked in the new version.

The Buddy System 2.0 now includes new Buddies and a special tier called Super Buddies. They actively help in matches with different perks, like stealing gear or reshaping the map.

Nextara, the new map, lets you make full use of the parkour combat system that’s already in place. Movement has always been important in the game, and now you can keep sprinting, vaulting, and climbing your way through a more vertical battlefield.

There’s also a new hero, Kui Dou, bringing an additional tactical variety to the 60-player fights. There’s also a batch of new and reworked weapons and loadout systems that allow for hundreds of different combat setups.

There are some absurd additions, too, in a good way. The Rat Cannon lets you launch yourself across the map. Yep, it sounds as ridiculous as it looks.

Gunplay has also been fine-tuned, as well, with 17 systems working together to simulate detailed impact feedback. On that note, catch a glimpse of the Farlight 84 relaunch here.
