G-Gee brings some classic brawling action to Android with Double Dragon

After reading the title of this article you might be thinking to yourself “I wonder if this is the Double Dragon from back in the day on the older consoles and in the arcade?”. Well we are happy to inform you that it is indeed that Double Dragon you are thinking of.

Ported over to Android by G-Gee, this classic side-scrolling brawler you probably played a billion times as a child was released onto Android about a week or so ago. This iteration of Double Dragon has gotten a bit of a graphical overhaul as well to bring a little HD quality to the game while maintaining the retro graphics we all love.

The entire game has been ‘enhanced’ by offering new forms of combat, characters, graphics, music and more. The controls have been re-designed to suit playing the game using touchscreen controls which seem to work quite well. The overall game though stays true to what you may remember playing back in the day.

Since this is brought to you by G-Gee, just like the PSP port of the rather humorous shooter Cho Aniki Zero: Muscle Brothers, there is the same mandatory but free registration to their social platform that you will need to do in order to play the game. Also, this isn’t the full length arcade game either as it is a fair bit shorter. Still, if you want to take a trip down memory lane with one of the more popular brawling games from the past, you can do so by downloading Double Dragon off of Google Play for $2.99.
