Gameloft releases Driver San Francisco onto the Android Market

Originally for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms, Gameloft has brought over Driver San Francisco onto the Android Platform. For those of you not familiar with this game, you play as a hardened cop named Tanner who is chasing down a crime lord going by the name of Jericho.

In Driver San Francisco, you start off with a Dodge Charger but end up using a lot of different vehicles in your pursuit of Mr. Jericho including things like ambulances and buses. This game comes with three gameplay modes: Storyline, Survivor and Free mode.

Features:

  • Rediscover the cinematic driving sensations of Driver with its high speed pursuits in dense traffic
  • Uncover a thrilling storyline in which revenge fuels Tanner’s relentless manhunt for Jericho
  • Drive across 5 different neighborhoods and along iconic locations throughout San Francisco
  • Challenge yourself with 10 types of missions ranging from a race against the clock to Survivor mode
  • In Free Ride mode, use your GPS to locate new challenges and take on 30 unique “dare” missions

For fans of racing games or the actual Driver series on other platforms, you may want to check this new title from Gameloft out. It does look like a much toned down version of the actual game, specifically in the graphics department. Perhaps all the talent is over on the Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation project right now. The cars look decent though which is good at least. Either way, you can grab Driver San Francisco off the Android Market for $2.99.
