Genshin Impact is gearing up for its next big update, Version 5.5 “Day of the Flame’s Return.” It officially lands on March 26th with Natlan getting even more intense. A lot is going to happen, not just storywise, but in the game too.
I mean they’re going to add controller support for Android finally. Yeah, it’s happening with version 5.5. You can read all about it here if you’re curious to know which ones the game will support once the feature rolls out.
What Does Genshin Impact Version 5.5 Have in Store?
You’ll be heading deep into the southwestern part of the region, where a new tribe, a massive volcano and fresh characters are waiting. The Great Volcano of Tollan is a place with ancient secrets and a sacred city that’s been asleep for ages.
With magma rumbling below, you’ll need to uncover the truth behind the “Flamelord’s Blessing” and the mystery of the Little One. Along the way, you’ll meet a new tribe, the Collective of Plenty. These people take fitness seriously, turning strength challenges into a way of life.
Two new playable characters are joining the roster in Genshin Impact Version 5.5: Varesa and Iansan. Varesa is a 5-star Electro Catalyst user who can restore Phlogiston after food is consumed, making her a unique support outside of battle.
Iansan, on the other hand, is a 4-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of Natlan’s six heroes. She’s a mix of offense and support. When a teammate triggers a Nightsoul Burst, she gains the Warming Up effect, letting her provide continuous healing.
In the first phase of Version 5.5’s Event Wishes, Varesa and Iansan will be available alongside Xianyun’s rerun, followed by reruns for Xilonen and Venti. On that note, take a look at all of these exciting additions below.
The Bloomflower Trials Are Making a Comeback
You’ll run across Mavuika, Ifa and other Natlan allies to help a sick Saurian. There’s also a mini-game called “Saurian Treasure Seeker,” where you’ll guide baby Saurians through obstacles to collect treasures. Participating in the event will let you invite Ororon for free.
On the challenge front, a new boss, the Lava Dragon Statue, is waiting in the volcanic fissures. You can get the game from the Google Play Store and dive into this massive update once it drops.
