Glu announces upcoming line-up of games for Android. One is built using Unreal Engine.

Yesterday Glu Mobile announced their upcoming line-up of freemium games coming to both Android and iOS platforms. Along with the announcement they also released a preview video that shows off these upcoming titles which are due out by the end of this year.

These new games will all be freemium titles, similar in style to Glu’s most recent released like Gun Bros and Contract Killer. So what are the new games coming to Android between now and the end of the year? Here they are:

Frontline Commando – This game will be your standard third-person shooter set in a desert landscape.

The Nightworld – In a deal with Glu and James Frey’s Full Fathom Five, this is the first title that will be released from this team-up of the two companies. This is also a third-person shooter set in an apocalyptic world. While it sounds pretty cool, the real interesting bit of information about this upcoming game is that this will be Glu’s first game made with Unreal Engine. Another interesting piece of information is that this game will also be backed with both e-books and physical books by Harper Collins. This should have a pretty awesome storyline and the fact that it’s being made with Unreal Engine also has our hopes up for this title.

Infected: Infect the World – This is a top-down zombie shooter game. Apparently this will be based off Planet Moon’s zombie shooter for the PSP and is being remade for mobile devices.

Blood & Glory – Not a whole lot about this game either other than the fact it’s being described as a 3D head-to-head combat game. Should be interesting to see how this turns out.

Rogue Racing – This will be a muscle car racing game.

Toy Village – A game that is similar to We Rule by ngmoco. Basically it is your typical freemium ville type of game, just themed around toys.

Stardom: The A-List – This will be the first game published under Glu which was developed by Blammo. These are the same developers responsible for Capcom’s Smurf Village game.

Depending on your preferred taste in games, there should be at least one title in this line-up that might grab your interest. Hopefully Glu has cured their ability to make poor decisions like they have been doing with recent updates to their already available titles such as running as a process and almost forcing you to purchase stuff with real money. Although a lot of their current titles are labelled as Freemium, it’s hard to enjoy them when half the stuff isn’t even accessible without buying them.

You can check out the video above to get a sneak peek at the games coming by the end of this year. You will see some games in this video above that are already available on the Android Market such as Contract Killer: Zombies.
