Devolver Digital has partnered up with Deconstructeam to bring PC and mobile gamers a new retro-style point-and-click adventure game called Gods Will Be Watching in the very near future. This game originated in the recent Ludum Dare 26 game jam and has progressed to where it is now – a full game release.
While there isn’t a ton of information regarding this game right now, we do know a few things about it. For starters the visuals will be full of pixel art which is always a plus. We also know that players will be stranded in space and you’ll have to deal with the “ethical conundrums and moral dilemmas of a stranded space exploration team”. This means you will have to deal with themes that revolve around despair, commitment, and sacrifice.
This all means that players will be solving puzzles based around the survival of the crew and must make tough decisions that will affect the entire crew’s well-being. It sounds pretty intense and from the little teaser trailer we have as well, it looks like it as well.
As for when Gods Will Be Watching will launch, right now the PC and mobile versions are slated for release this Spring 2014.
