Guardian Tales is celebrating its 5th anniversary. Kakao Games, the publisher and developer of the game, is marking half a decade of their action RPG with some throwback as well as fresh content. Keep reading to get the full scoop!

There is a slew of celebratory activities, including new events, a fresh face joining the roster, and plenty of freebies. If you’ve been around Kanterbury for a while, you’re probably used to the way Guardian Tales mixes puzzles, quirky characters, and vibrant environments.
On its 5th Anniversary, Guardian Tales is all wrapped in birthday decor. For starters, players who log in after the update will receive 3,000 free gems. There are also 150 free summons up for grabs. It includes 10 summons a day over five days, along with another 100 Selectable Summon Controllers that are part of the 5th Anniversary Special Attendance Event.
What about the new events?
Two limited-time events are part of the Guardian Tales 5th anniversary celebrations. Hidden Treasure of the Hill brings in a collection of costumes, cards, and a limit-breaking hammer to upgrade your gear.
Meanwhile, the Fifth Anniversary Festival is packing things like books of blessing and Hero Crystals. It’s all to give your gameplay a boost during the anniversary period. On that note, catch a glimpse of the celebrations here.
Most exciting part: a new hero has made her entrance. It’s Chriselle, a squirrel with a Myth form and a strong sense of chaos. You can explore her backstory through Chriselle’s Memorial Short Story. It also lets you pick up items in a limited-time event shop.
