Happy Citizens – Mayor Sim is a new city-building and management sim that’s now out on mobile. It puts you into the shoes of a mayor whose main task is turning a plain land into a thriving city. You get to build a warm, lighthearted, and endlessly creative city life experience.

Happy Citizens – Mayor Sim is adorable

Before I talk about the gameplay features and other stuff, I want to highlight the game’s visuals. Since we already have had games in the same genre with different plots or themes, a new sim game has to bring something unique to attract new players.

In the case of Happy Citizens – Mayor Sim, it’s the game’s presentation. Miya Games, the game’s developers, have created equally adorable games before, like Bus Don’t Stop, Loser Sim, Dog Life, Happy Dessert Café and My Shushi Story.

Their latest game, too, has polished visuals and leans towards cartoon-stylised art. The structures have soft colours and they’re full of little details like roof textures and tiny decorations.

What about the gameplay?

You plan everything, from the first street layout to the gradual construction of buildings that serve different functions. The experience leans heavily on the lives of the residents who will call the city home.

The citizens’ lives and stories matter. They can get married, start families, and raise children. Some might be artists who boost the cultural side of the city. Others may be craftsmen who keep industries running.

And then there are the service workers. Assigning everyone to the right roles is a key part of making sure everyone has a purpose and a sense of belonging.

There are basic vehicles like bicycles, motorcycles, cars, and airplanes. And so are over-the-top ones like hot air balloons and UFOs.

Also, the residents’ homes include pets. Apart from cats, dogs and birds, you can expect elephants, pandas, giraffes, capybaras, and even lions!

As the city expands, more architectural options open up. Restaurants, fountain parks, skyscrapers, and windmills. So, check out the game from the Google Play Store. And read our next news on Fable Town’s First Anniversary with Special Events.
