Hasbro and Gameloft teaming up to bring the official My Little Pony games to mobile

I can only imagine the reaction this news is going to get so we might was well jump right into it. Gameloft is teaming up with Hasbro to bring some official My Little Pony games to iOS and Android, I’m sure this makes plenty of people there unusually happy for one reason or another.

The games, yes I do mean games, will be based off of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. From the title you can already tell that the games will be unnecessarily cute. This will be the first time the Friendship is Magic TV series versions of the characters will appear in any sort of video game format. Also revealed in the press release from Gameloft is that they will also be making a Littlest Pet Shot game as well.

The opportunity to collaborate on such globally recognized brands such as My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Shop not only allows us to build a unique and immersive universe for the characters we’ve all grown to love, but to take the much-adored franchises to the next level of digital play. – Gonzague de Vallois, Senior Vice President of Publishing at Gameloft

Unfortunately there are no real details just yet about what any of these overly fluffy cute games will include or what you will even be doing in them. We do know that they will land on iOS and Android sometime this year though. Check out the press release below for your reading pleasure.
