Android purists swear that stock Android is the way to go. This is especially true for Android 4.0 since it is much sleeker and lighter than most skins manufacturers place on their devices. There’s at least one more Android skin on the way next month, this time from Huawei. The Emotion UI is set to debut on June 9, and will be placed on the first Huawei device in July.
Mobile 163 posted an image from the event where Huawei is set to show off the Emotion UI. The image shows the Ascend P1which runs stock Android 4.0, so we still aren’t sure what the Emotion UI looks like. UnwiredView reports Huawei is referring to the Emotion UI with buzzwords such as “simple”, “emotional”, and “smart.” Those words unfortunately don’t tell us anything about what the Emotion UI will improve in Android 4.0. Hopefully it won’t be heavy enough to strip away the core Android 4.0 experience.
The Emotion UI is set to ship on newer Huawei smartphones. It’s not yet known if older Huawei devices will receive the UI upgrade.
