Japanese game publisher Bushiroad has dropped a new game HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×SURVIVOR. First announced and revealed in October 2025, the game is now out on Android exclusively. Developed by WonderPlanet, it offers a spin-off version of the hit series.
HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×SURVIVOR is a roguelike experience
You mow down waves of enemies using Nen abilities. Each session involves assembling a build from random skills and party combinations. No two runs play out exactly the same. The game also includes survivor mechanics and action elements alongside the roguelike systems with short bursts of combat.
The developers describe the core loop as Survivor × Action × Roguelike. Intense Nen ability sequences offer an auto mode as well. Build variety comes from the interaction between Skills, Party composition, and Strategy.
And of course, familiar characters from Hunter × Hunter appear. You’ll see Gon, Killua, Hisoka, and others. These characters come in two rarity levels, A and S. Characters classified as S rarity feature special move animations.
Beyond rarity, the progression system is divided into six grades: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Elite, Epic, and Legend. S rarity characters begin at Elite grade, so Common, Uncommon, and Rare characters are available only under A rarity.
Increasing a character’s grade generally requires an Elite character of the same role. For Rare and below, you can achieve grade increases by stacking characters of the same grade. For Epic and above, certain upgrade stages require a character with the same name.
Each character in HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×SURVIVOR gets a role icon that determines their function in battle. There are four types: Attack, Defense, Support, and Recovery. Why don’t you catch a glimpse of the game below?
HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×SURVIVOR is now available globally on the Google Play Store. Initially scheduled to be released in the United States at the same time, the new release window has shifted to spring 2026.
