Infinity Nikki Version 1.8 is bringing something completely new with the Danqing Season. The chapter blends folklore, ink painting, and fantasy into one surreal journey. It’s kicking off on July 30th and running until September 2nd.
You’ll be taken far from the Sea of Stars to a secluded island
The name Danqing itself nods to an ancient Chinese term used to describe red and greenish-blue pigments in classical paintings. That history seeps into every element of the new update.
Nikki and Momo stumble upon a mysterious scroll that pulls them into an untouched place. It has misty peaks, layered bamboo, and mirror-like lakes forming a living landscape filled with secrets. Take a look at the Danqing Season of Infinity Nikki below.
As beautiful as it looks, something isn’t right here, since the villagers are disappearing. The Seer becomes Nikki’s guide through the strange world. The island starts to reveal layers of its past, along with its dangers.
In between unravelling the story, you can explore some laid-back side content. Play Weiqi (Go) like an old master, drift on bamboo rafts through winding water trails. Or use photo filters that echo classical Chinese brushwork.
The Danqing Season in Infinity Nikki has an annual ritual
An artist paints open the eyes of a slumbering White Dragon to reawaken its spirit and safeguard the realm. The mythical protector’s opposite seems to have stirred instead. Inkshade: Painting Loong is the new boss at the core of the island, guarding the island’s oldest secrets.
Clouded Loong is the 5-star outfit this season, letting you summon a white dragon and glide through the skies. The look is drawn from the ancient Soaring Loong, a creature of legend symbolising luck, wisdom, and divine strength.
Another 5-star outfit, Forever Bond, channels the eerie elegance of the spirit cat. It comes with poison mist and a ghostly makeup effect. The third new outfit, Danqing Craft, comes with a power that lets Nikki restore objects that have been dissolved into ink.
