Coatsink has dropped Islanders: Mobile on Android today. It brings the experience of Islanders: New Shores from PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch to phones and tablets. The Android edition comes with Game Centre and Google Play support for leaderboards and achievements.

Build beautiful structures

The game brings a run of serene islands where every round begins with a small inventory of buildings. You place each structure in a spot that complements its individual traits. Then, watch the points rise and unlock more options as the stage evolves.

A major part of New Shores that carries across to Islanders: Mobile is the introduction of boons. They are single-use boosts that activate as you earn points during a stage.

These temporary perks can do everything from duplicating a structure in your inventory to letting you swap out a building already placed on the island. They gradually become the lifeline for tackling trickier maps.

The mobile version also includes Sandbox mode, the Luminescent biome, and a broad selection of building types. You also get advanced scoring rules linked to the distinct properties of each island.

A Photo Mode joins the package with filters and a turntable camera so you can frame your creations against the game’s bright natural landscapes. Streamers also get Twitch integration, enabling viewers to vote on what to pick next during a run.

Hop from island to island in Islanders: Mobile

The feature list spans two modes with separate saves, High Score and Sandbox, 44 building types, 7 island properties, and 50 dynamic island generators. All of it is complemented by 75 minutes of original music.

Developed and published by Coatsink, Islanders drew inspiration from games like Bad North, Anno, The Settlers, Sim City and Kingdoms and Castles. If you’re interested, you can check it out on the Google Play Store.
