Kabam and ngmoco team up, bringing hardcore social games to Android

It looks like we can expect to see some hardcore social games heading our way starting this Summer thanks to a new partnership between ngmoco and Kabam which will bring Kabam titles to Android, taking advantage of ngmoco’s Mobage platform.

Kabam already has quite the presence on iOS, mostly thanks to their Kingdoms of Camelot franchise and especially with their most recent release Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North which has already been downloaded over a million times in the first month of release. For those of you unfamiliar with the Kingdoms of Camelot series, these are city building / combat RTS games, similar to what you will find on Facebook and playable through your browser on your PC.

Set in a medieval period, the Kingdoms of Camelot series has you building your kingdom up with different building, training troops and gathering resources, expanding to other cities and waging war against other players. The world is a persistent one meaning that you can be attacked even when you are not logged in.

With the announcement of ngmoco and Kabam teaming up, these games will start making their way to Android very soon. As to what game will be first, that hasn’t been announced just yet but it is a safe bet it will probably be one of the Kingdom of Camelot games. The first game will be officially announced this Summer. You can check out the full press release below.
