ViVa Games has just rolled out the most ambitious expansion yet for its 2D cross-platform MMORPG Kakele. It’s the 2025.1 update, The Continent of Gangan, brings a lot of changes for nearly every system in Kakele Online.
What’s in store on The Continent of Gangan in Kakele Online?
Gangan is a storm-lashed archipelago with references to the game’s mythology. It’s a late-game area that challenges experienced players with dangerous creatures. It also lets you grab legendary loot and delivers deep narrative hooks involving the Masters of Energy.
The update introduces several new gameplay systems, including a backpack equipment slot. It also drops a Prey mechanic that boosts experience and combat stats against rotating targets. There’s a new Bosstiary that logs your kills and offers permanent buffs.
Meanwhile, the Temple District has received a complete visual overhaul. It also has a new tavern hub for social play, trading, and minigames. A new side quest beneath the cathedral, focused on Saint Mardi, teases future storylines.
Spells now factor in resistance stats, while you can enter instanced dungeons, even the ones flagged for PvP. Also, buffs from mounts or fortresses are now dispellable. Pets now gain experience just by accompanying you in battle, and you can now bring two along at once!

The update also marks the arrival of Global Events 2.0
The devs have reworked The Fortress War system with matchmaking brackets and server-wide rewards for winning teams. It turns what used to be chaotic open-world brawls into more structured, meaningful events.
In parallel, ViVa has rolled out new security features. The list includes machine learning-based anti-cheat tools and more aggressive moderation filters to clean up toxic chat behaviour.
