NieR Reincarnation is heading into its first closed beta later this month.
Specifically, the beta is running from July the 29th till August the 5th, with registrations being accepted until July the 26th. Unfortunately for most of you, it’s only running in Japan.
There’s also a new trailer, which reveals a bit more of the world and the movement mechanics. It looks like we’re in for a mixture of vaulting 3D environments and more rudimentary 2D sections.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of the combat, too, which apparently consists of fairly standard wave-based battles with monsters.
NieR Reincarnation is being overseen by Creative Director Yoko Taro, who created the series. It’ll tell the story of a young girl exploring a fantasy citadel with a floating companion called Mother in tow.
