Lifeline is your next text-based thriller. Available now to download

Text based games have risen in popularity lately. These days, good games in this genre are not as difficult to find as they used to be. Today, 3 Minute Games has unleashed their latest project, Lifeline. It was released to much acclaim on iOS not too long ago, so it is good to see it arrive for Android devices. If you are ready for a thrilling sci-fi adventure, buckle up and get ready to blast off.

If you have a good story, that is the foundation for a great game. Everything generally revolves around a good narrative. However, with text based games, that is even more important, since you typically don’t have the lush graphics to go along with it. You don’t have to worry about that with Lifeline. It is written by none other than Dave Justus, who is known for Fables: The Wolf Among Us. Having such a well-known and established writer, makes us eager to play this game.

“Lifeline is a playable, branching story of survival against all odds. You will help Taylor make life or death decisions, and face the consequences together. A totally unique experience  enabled by modern devices, this story plays out in real time. As Taylor works to stay alive, notifications deliver new messages throughout your day. Keep up as they come in, or catch up later when you’re free.” – 3 Minute Games

This game looks like it will be totally engrossing. The reviews from those that have played the game on iOS, have been exceptional. My backlog of games is always pretty full, but I am pushing this one to the top of the pile.

If you like what you see, you can download Lifeline for $2.99. There are no in-app purchases, and thankfully, an internet connection is not required.

If you choose to download the game, or have played it before, let us know what you think of it in the comments.
