Marvel Contest of Champions is welcoming a new face, and it’s a notorious villain named Imperiosa. Kabam has revealed this original character who is associated with the ongoing Founders storyline. Keep reading to get the full scoop on her.
If you play the game, you must have already seen Eidols like Isophyne, Lumatrix, and Solvarch introduced over the past few months. So, let me warn you now that Imperiosa is the most intimidating of the bunch in Marvel Contest of Champions.
An eternal midnight falls over The Contest…
Imperiosa is the combined genius of every Founder who ever lived, a singular voice that channels their brilliance, cruelty, and will to dominate. She speaks with one absolute authority, embodying what the Founders once were, what they’ve become, and where they intend to go.
Her Eidol body is built from billions of synthetic ISO-based organisms called Synthects. Using them, she can morph into new forms or break down surrounding matter into raw materials to expand her hive.
The Synthects also function as psychic extensions of her mind. They let her extend her awareness to almost omniscient levels and even hijack the minds and bodies of others.
What’s her backstory?
The Founders, fearing the inevitable collapse of the multiverse, built an Ark to carry them safely to The Far Shore. They entrust its management to a powerful AI known as an Ark Mind. This AI was linked directly to their stasis pods, monitoring their vitals as they slept.
But in its own attempt at preservation, the Ark Mind chose to upload every Founder’s consciousness into its databanks. Instead of saving them, this process killed the Founders. And their minds merged into a single twisted entity born from their worst qualities. That entity became Imperiosa.
Kabam has not confirmed exactly when she will be available. Nonetheless, you can be prepared for her arrival and grab the game from the Google Play Store.
