Supercell’s mo.co. has unveiled the details of its biggest update, Chapter 2: Portal Problems. While the exact release date hasn’t been confirmed, Supercell has already begun teasing what’s in store. It’s going to be a world swarming with peculiar cat-monsters, shifting combat systems, and surreal maps.
Chapter 2: Portal Problems Welcomes Ne.co to Mo.Co!
The chapter is full of strange new enemies. There’s the projectile-happy Arrow Cat, the sideways-crab-walking Skitter, and the completely uninterested final boss, The Lazy Queen.
Then there’s Whisker, the wildcard with mystery powers, and Scratcher, a melee bruiser. Duke is a living statue that merges combat with environmental storytelling. Lastly, Blue Herring is a fish-carrying oddball.
Maps are getting stranger, too, in Mo.Co Chapter 2: Portal Problems. You’ll fight your way through Frostpaw Dock, where water and feline enemies meet. And there’s Living Art Galleries, where statues and paintings come alive mid-battle. Secret Rifts and cat-themed Dojos also make their debut, offering new terrain types.
The Shotbow is a new weapon which makes a permanent return, combining bow and shotgun mechanics with sparkly new visuals. The Time Claw adds an area-of-effect burst every six attacks. Poison Bow specialises in damage over time and rewards a hit-and-run approach.
Love Multiplayer?
Lobbies are out, and a new teaming system is in. You can now add friends directly from inside events or rift runs. Leaderboards have also been overhauled with private leaderboards based on friends and groups.
PvP is getting four rotating PvP modes. So, you’ll now compete for Stars, not just ranks. A five-belt progression system is also here, culminating in the Black Belt level. It unlocks exclusive titles for those who master the formats.
