It’s Not Fishing, It’s Social Fishkeeping in Tiny Aquarium, Out Now!

Tiny Aquarium is out on mobile. Lunheim Studios from Switzerland is behind the game, which first landed on PC in June 2025. It’s an idle simulator that runs comfortably in the background or at the bottom of your screen.

You can hatch eggs, breed fish, catch them while fishing, trade with other players, or even sell them as you build up your collection. The game progresses even when you’re offline. It’s just chill, chill, chill in a teeny, tiny aquarium.

You start with just a single egg sitting in an empty aquarium. Over time, you turn that into the aquarium tank you’ve always wanted. Tiny Aquarium offers more than 120 fish to collect, with different variants.

Some fish are based on real-life species, while others are completely made up for the game. Every real-world fish comes with a little fact about its actual counterpart, including information about its population status. Some species are easy to get, while others are going to take a lot more patience.

To get new fish, you can breed the existing fish together, go fishing, trade with other players, or hatch them naturally. Every fish has its own attributes that affect things like how valuable it is, how good it is for breeding, and even how fast it swims around your tank.

There are also rare traits like albinism, which makes finding certain fish feel a bit more special. The little details are pretty cute, too. Shrimp stay along the bottom, snails crawl across the glass, and you can mix whatever fish you want into the same aquarium.

Tiny Aquarium has a special Tiny Mode

You can shrink your aquarium into a tiny movable tank that stays on top of your desktop or sits in the corner of your screen. You can keep doing your other tasks like browsing the internet, studying, working, or whatever.

Tiny Aquarium is available on the Google Play Store for $4.99.
