Looks like all’s not well in Netflix’s gaming department. Because in the coming month, Netflix is removing many mobile games from its library. Nearly 20% of the streamer’s mobile games is getting deleted from its collection.
When Is Netflix Removing the Games?
On July 15th, 2025, over 20 games are set to disappear from the platform. So, July 14th is your last chance to play them if you’re a Netflix subscriber.
The list of games leaving is quite long and varied. And some of these games are still relatively new to the platform. Take Carmen Sandiego, for instance, which was added only in January 2025.
Meanwhile, there are big names like Monument Valley. Netflix is removing all three games in the series. Monument Valley 3 even had a brief period of Netflix Games exclusivity before being announced for other platforms.
Next, there are super-popular games like Death’s Door and Katana Zero. The list also includes indie hits like Braid Anniversary Edition, The Case of the Golden Idol and The Rise of the Golden Idol.
Even titles for kids like CoComelon: Play with JJ and LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed are getting axed. Then, there are licensed IP games like Battleship, Rainbow Six: SMOL and SpongeBob: Bubble Pop F.U.N.
Another popular game is Supergiant Games’ Hades, which is available only on iOS through Netflix. The remaining titles on the list are Dumb Ways to Die, Ghost Detective, Ludo King, Diner Out: Merge Cafe, Vineyard Valley, TED Tumblewords, and Raji: An Ancient Epic.
It’s Not the First Time!
This comes at the end of a tough year for Netflix Games. Over the last nine months, there have been multiple cancellations, including Don’t Starve Together, Crashlands 2, and Tales of the Shire.
They recently cut Netflix Stories, too, despite plans to keep expanding it with content based on their original shows and films. Before that, the company saw a round of game removals in December last year. These removals follow the shutdown of Netflix’s in-house AAA game studio last October.
At this rate, I feel the company might even shut down its gaming arm soon. Only time will tell. Meanwhile, you can check out their roster on the Google Play Store.
