Developed by 232 Studios, Epic Eric is a new puzzle-platformer that will be arriving onto Android next week. In this game players will be assuming the role of Eric the Knight, or Princess Erica depending on which way you want to roll, with the goal of rescuing your beloved. Depending on who you are playing as, that will end up either being Eric the Knight or Princess Erica.
June 4th, 2015 7:07am PST: Epic Eric is now available for download off of Google Play. With the release we now know the pricing for this game as well, which is $0.99 to download a copy of Epic Eric. You can grab a copy of Epic Eric through the new link at the bottom of this article.
Unlike a lot of games in this genre that usually have more typical arcade-style control, Epic Eric features one-touch controls instead, making it so that solving the puzzles and completing the stages your main focus. Speaking of which, there is a decent amount of stages to go through, 60 of them to be exact which are divided up over 8 unique worlds.
In a rather humorous an unique twist, if you take the story as Eric the Knight being capture, the developer has released a single to bring awareness to the plight of Eric ahead of launch, sort of like a whole ‘Save The World’ type of musical thing that famous music artists used to do all the time in the 80s and 90s. There will also be an official site to “raise awareness of Eric’s misfortune and help people understand the terrible fate that has befallen him” when the game launches.
Epic Eric will be arriving onto Google Play on June 4th, 2015. No word on pricing yet but you check out the game in action in the trailer below. You can also check out the musical track over on Soundcloud as well. We will post an update once Epic Eric is available for download.
