If you are a lover of sausages and dogs, or at least wiener dogs anyways, then Nitrome’s next game may be something that you will want to check out when it arrives. Why is that? Because it features you controlling a wiener dog as you work your way through some pretty crazy looking areas in Silly Sausage in Meat Land.
Update: Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 6:32AM PST: Nitrome continues to produce games that are quite unique. Their latest title is now available in the Google Play Store, and it looks quite challenging. If you are a fan of Nitrome’s games, or want a game with a premise that is totally different, Silly Sausage in Meat Land may be the game for you. It is available to download for free. Nitrome doesn’t stray too far from their retro-style of arcade games that they have been releasing as of late, except this time Silly Sausage in Meat Land is a platformer title where you will be using an expandable wiener dog, who can bend in 90 degree directions, to navigate what appears to be a rather hostile area. Your dog can expand pretty far in length as well, so you will need to use that to your advantage. You will want to also collect as many of the green gems as you possibly can.
This game actually features one gigantic obstacle course that has around 50 checkpoints littered throughout it. The area between checkpoints are what essentially make up the ‘levels’ in this game. However you will need to collect those green gems (or watching ads) in order to unlock the next checkpoint. As you progress further into what looks like a nightmare for a wiener dog, the game gets increasingly difficult.
Silly Sausage in Meat Land will be arriving onto Android on both Google Play and Amazon’s Appstore tomorrow. You will be able to download the game for free and it will have a single IAP to turn off the ads if you want to do that. Best of all, you are able to sniff your own butt in this game. It’s true, the trailer above says so.
