For those of you who backed the OUYA Android powered game console’s Kickstarter campaign and purchased a unit through Kickstarter, your units are going to be landing on your door step soon as units are slated to begin shipping on March 28th, 2013.
Those of you who did not pre-purchase an OUYA unit through the Kickstarter campaign, the wait seems to be a bit longer. However, anyone who hasn’t pre-ordered one at all, you will be able to pick one up in-stores in June of this year when they officially get released for public consumption.
OUYA plans to release new units with new hardware each year in order to keep it up-to-date with the current technology available. So we are sure some people are going to wait until OUYA 2 arrives before picking one up.
