Two detectives, two halves of a mystery, and one twisted mind behind it all. Parallel Experiment, the latest from Eleven Puzzles, is now available on Android and also on Steam and iOS. It’s a two-player cooperative puzzle adventure where communication is your lifeline.
Two Is Better Than One
You and a partner play as Ally and Old Dog. They’re two detectives who end up trapped in a disturbing psychological experiment set up by the Cryptic Killer. Yeah, a recurring name in the developer’s past works.
Each player sees a different side of the game, and neither has the full picture. Your progress is entirely dependent on your partner’s clues, and theirs on yours. Sometimes you’ll be solving a cypher or soldering electronic parts. Sometimes you’re literally waking up a drunk.
The game has more than 80 puzzles in total. There are intricate locks, cryptic symbols, and scattered notes. In between the mysteries, you’ll find a few rounds of darts or match-3 puzzles as well.
Parallel Experiment is the first in the Eleven Puzzles series to move beyond a single location. You get to explore different parts of Kraków with a map that helps track progress across the areas. You’ll find new environments, additional secrets, and plenty of strange locals as you progress.
It’s a Parallel Experiment
Want to annoy your partner mid-investigation? Yes, you get tools to mess with your partner in the middle of a puzzle. Knock on their window, jolt their screen, or just poke them for the fun of it.
The game is in a noir comic book style, including the cutscenes, which play out over nearly 100 pages. Take a look at the trailer below and see for yourself!
Parallel Experiment supports crossplay across all platforms. On Android, it’s priced at $6.99, with a 20% launch discount running for the first two weeks. Check out the game from the official website.
