You can now pay a visit to Think Town, but not to battle or catch Pokémon. Instead, you can go collect as many Pokémon plushies as you want. Well, there are a few terms & conditions to that though. But nonetheless! It’s Pokémon Friends, a new game from The Pokémon Company.
Pokémon Friends, has landed on Android today, alongside Nintendo Switch and iOS. The Pokémon Company made an unexpected announcement, followed by an immediate released.
No fighting Gym Leaders here!
In the game, you’ll be solving over 1,200 puzzles, each one contributing a little yarn to your collection. And speaking of yarn, IT is the real currency in this world. Every puzzle you solve spins out more of it, letting you craft your own stuffed Pokémon using a contraption called the Plush-O-Matic.
From there, you’ll be hoarding the plush companions. And you can arrange them in cosy, customizable rooms filled with cute wallpaper and furniture.
It all takes place in Think Town, a place where people love plushies but need your help to get them back in their lives. As you work through puzzles, you’ll slowly bring joy back to its citizens.
Daily stamps add a reason to return regularly. It encourages you to spend a little time each day and helps adding to your collection.

Pokémon Friends isn’t just about solitary play
With five save files available, the game lets multiple people take turns building their own plushy sanctuaries on a single device. There’s a paid DLC, as well, that unlocks additional features.
Pokémon Friends does not include AR features, and the plushies (your perfect shelf companions) exist only in-game. Bummer! I hope The Pokémon Company rolls them out in the real market soon.
The game is free to play. So, get it from the Google Play Store and give it a spin.
