Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra is dropping a new update soon. Aniplex is rolling out a new limited-time event quest called Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Scene 0 Part I. It’s the first slice of a three-part arc which will connect the game’s main story later on.
Right now, though, it’s a standalone event that brings in a new character, new mechanics, and new lore for players. The event kicks off on May 30th, so it’s time for you to finish up the main quest, if you haven’t already!
Puella Magi Madoka Magica Scene 0 Part I Is a Celebration
Scene 0 was created to mark the 10th anniversary of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and originally came from Magia Record. It follows Mabayu Aki, a middle school student from Mitakihara, who finds herself in a strange situation.
The situation being time suddenly freezing for everyone except her. That leads her down a rabbit hole of magical weirdness and eventually to an encounter with a certain magical girl.
You’ll be able to play through Scene 0 from May 30th until June 30th. It’ll show up later as part of the main quest. To jump in, you’ll need to have already cleared The Fourth Window Into Memory [Dessert Witch] BOSS from the main quest.
During the event, you’ll be collecting medals, which you can swap for a bunch of rewards. That includes a portrait called Granting Impossible Miracles and Magica Stones. That portrait will also be added to the Archive Medal Exchange later.
There’s a Lot More Going Down
May 30th is also when the new 5-star Kioku, Hollow Woman Mabayu Aki, drops into the Fate Weave. The banner runs through the end of June. If you do 10 consecutive draws, you’re guaranteed to pull at least a 4-star or higher Kioku.
Lastly, the game’s main quest is getting an upgrade, too. Starting May 30th, Chaos mode goes live. It’s all boss battles against witches and rumours, each one with a special challenge mission. To access Chaos mode, you’ll need to have cleared the Nightmare version of Window Into Memory [Needle Witch] BOSS from the Oriko☆Magica questline.
