Rockstar Games’ hit PC action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption is coming to Android. Yes, finally! A successor to 2004’s Red Dead Revolver, it first released in 2010. On December 2nd, 2025, the game will release on Android, iOS, and current generation consoles PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.
RDR is set during the decline of the American frontier in the year 1911
The setup picks up right after the events of the 2018 hit Red Dead Redemption 2. RDR2 is the prequel of RDR and takes place in 1899, 12 years before the events of the first game. It’s the Wild West era of outlaws and gunslingers.
Coming back to the story, you see former outlaw John Marston’s attempt to finally cut ties with his violent past. Federal agents push him into hunting down the very people he once rode with. He travels across big stretches of the American West and Mexico.
Red Dead Redemption on Android will include the major DLC Undead Nightmare, too. It’s set in a non-canonical, apocalypse-themed alternate reality with ghost towns and cemeteries full of zombies. Here, Marston tries to track down a cure before the whole place collapses under a zombie horde.

Red Dead Redemption Is Coming to Android for Netflix Subscribers as well as Non-Subscribers!
Once it launches on December 2nd, you can grab it as a premium game or access it for free if you have a Netflix subscription. However, the mobile version will be strictly single-player with no multiplayer content.
