Roadman is a new crime management game on Android. It has launched on both Google Play PC and Google Play Mobile. It’s created by Shaun Leach, the developer behind the underwater psychological thriller Iron Fish.

Roadman is a Multiplayer

You play the game in third person. Between 3-12 players fight for dominance across the turf wars of a gritty metropolis. The game is about building an empire from the ground up.

You start with a few street-level deals and a crew who may or may not be loyal. Then, with progress, you scramble for territory, beef up your defenses, and scrap with rival gangs in fast-paced skirmishes.

Roadman has an unusual blend of shooter mechanics and management elements. There are tactical shootouts, but in between all that, you’re doing business deals and also outfitting your gang at times.

You need to raise over £10,000 through criminal ventures. It can be through any means, like drugs, gambling, sex work, or other shady deals.

Every street, every deal, every confrontation is filled with deeply rooted prejudice. Characters you meet have opinions based on who you are and where you’re from.

As you push to establish your reputation, the game forces you to confront stereotypes related to race, class, and gender. These elements also shape the experience, including who trusts you, who fears you, and who tries to use you.

Hustle for Money and Survival

Roadman uses dark satire and absurd situations to explore how unfair assumptions drive behaviour in a fractured society. It borrows heavily from the harsh realities of underground economies that thrive in neglected parts of urban life.

Meanwhile, the game also offers lots of customisation options. You get leopard-print pants, flashy SMG and more stuff to choose from.

The game is free to play. So, do check it out from the Google Play Store.
