Roblox is finally bringing back a version of one of its most iconic traditions. The Egg Hunt, a community favourite that first started in 2008, is getting a reimagining under a new name. It’s now called The Hatch, as confirmed by Team Roblox.

When Does The Hatch Drop in Roblox?

It officially kicks off on July 2nd, 2025, and will run through July 12th, 2025. So, you’ll get ten full days of egg-chasing. There’s already speculation about what this version of the Egg Hunt might involve.

The promotional art for The Hatch features several different biomes, calling back to the 2017 Egg Hunt: The Lost Eggs. It also had various themed zones tied to specific egg designs.

The old events challenged players to figure out how to obtain different eggs hidden across the platform. You had to solve puzzles, complete mini-games, or find the right place at the right time.

By the way, the announcement was quite dramatic, just like the comeback of the event. It all started with a post on X by the official Roblox X account last week. It was a string of emojis, like earth, water, fire, tornado, lightning, heart, hourglass, snowflake, lightbulb, and black circle.

Later, on June 11th, Roblox dropped a teaser video titled The Hatch across all major platforms, including Instagram, Threads, X, and YouTube.

As of now, that’s all that we have on The Hatch of Roblox. So, only time will tell whether The Hatch will be a dev hunt like earlier versions. You can expect more information to drop soon.

Until then, grab Roblox from the Google Play Store. There’s multiple stuff happening over there. There’s a gacha event to build your Tamagotchi dream team. Or you can check out the ongoing green empire event.
