Robot Invader announces Wind-Up Knight 2 while talking about checkpoints

Robot Invader, the developers of the original Wind-Up Knight game, have inadvertently announced that they are working on a sequel in a new blog post over on their website while talking about a new checkpoint system.  Actually the entire post is about the checkpoint system that will be in this sequel but since there has been no word about Wind-Up Knight 2 being in the works, this has ended up being their announcement.

While there isn’t a whole lot of details about what this new sequel will come with, we do have a funny feeling that there will be checkpoints in this game. This means if you die you won’t have to start from the very beginning, you can just pick up where your last checkpoint was. If you’re not up for using the checkpoint system in Wind-Up Knight 2, you will be able to turn it off.

Hey look, a checkpoint!

Since there is a checkpoint system in this sequel, we can also speculate that the levels in the game will be longer… much longer. So turning off those checkpoints will make for some rather hardcore gaming. Other than that, it looks like the graphics has been improved upon as well.

Since there is almost no information about Wind-Up Knight 2, aside from the development of the checkpoint system, we don’t know when this sequel will hit Google Play. We’ll just have to keep an eye out for future updates.
