Noodlecake’s latest game on Android is Saturn Slalom, a simple arcade-style endless runner/obstacle course game. Although I termed it simple, it still offers a fast-paced and music-reactive platform. And since it’s a Noodlecake release, you can be sure that it won’t be that dull.
A faraway place called Saturn Slalom
The game hands you a spaceship and a chaotic galaxy. That’s it. Your task is to manage to weave between incoming planets without turning your ship into glittering space debris.
While you pilot your spaceship through the glitchy, audio-reactive galaxy, you’ll be dodging obstacles. That, in turn, will let you build combos and score high.
Every point you earn comes from threading your ship through the centre of the screen while planets slide past on both sides. Obviously, the longer you keep that rhythm going, the more your combo climbs.
But the same tactic that boosts your score also raises the chances of making catastrophic contact with a planetoid. When your ship clips something, the screen cracks, glitches spread across the display, and the galaxy starts to distort.
Saturn Slalom brings its slalom concept to life by steadily increasing the size and frequency of obstacles the further you skate through deep space. Movement is controlled entirely through tapping left or right.

Will you try it?
The game is pretty reactive. The visuals pulse with the soundtrack, shifting and intensifying as runs become more frantic. Meanwhile, the music syncs with how well you’re maintaining your combo.
Push that combo high enough and the beat responds in kind, creating a loop where the sound and gameplay feed off one another. Haptic feedback rumbles when you steer, when the bass hits, and especially when you inevitably ram into something.
